Does this old photograph of a Kirkcaldy shop which traded during the 1930s and 40s bring back memories to any readers?
Information on the business, which is believed to have been in the Linktown area, is being sought by Maureen Dodds and her daughter Linda, from Toronto in Canada, whose great grandparents owned the shop.
They would like to know where in the town it was, prior to a visit to Kirkcaldy next week to trace their roots.
In the photograph, the lady on the right is Elisabeth Baxter with her sister Margaret Welsh on the left. They ran a drapers and haberdashery alongside a general grocers shop in the area for many years, serving the people of Linktown.
If anyone is still alive who remembers the Baxter and Welsh shop, or knows something about the family and if there are any surviving members still around in Fife, contact Jake Drummond on (01592) 650562.
