Police in Fife are appealing for information following a public indecency in Cupar.

A man in a small, turquoise or teal coloured small hatchback was seen carrying out an indecent act while parked on Westfield Road at around 8.10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Making the appeal for witnesses, Sergeant Gary Combe of Cupar Police Station said: “This is absolutely unacceptable behaviour which occurred on a main thoroughfare during a time when members of the local community were likely to be in the area.

“It was extremely distressing for the young girl who witnessed it and we are urging anyone who has information about this incident, or who recognises the description of the vehicle, to come forward.”

Anyone with information which can help officers with their enquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
