AN ASYLUM seeker has lost his appeal to stay in Kirkcaldy for good.
Kishor Dangol received a letter from his lawyer yesterday (Wednesday) informing him that his appeal had been dismissed.
Judges refused permission for him to remain in the country - where he has lived for the past 11 years - because there is no longer a threat to his safety in his home country of Nepal.
The move comes after a two day hearing was held at the Court of Session in Edinburgh in January.
Kishor now has 21 days to lodge an appeal with the Supreme Court.
The 47-year-old told The Press he is devastated at the outcome.
He said: “I still can’t believe it.
‘‘Everyone who has been supporting me has been so positive and we all thought it was going to be good news.
‘‘ I have a lot to think about now and have a meeting with my lawyer next Friday, April 1.”
