The display coincided with activities held to celebrate 50 years of the school.

Over two evenings, the exhibition, featuring pieces from current and former pupils, ran alongside a special fashion show.

Pupils in the music department provided a soundtrack.

Roisin Gilhooly, principal teacher of art and design at Balwearie, said: “The display featured the work of current pupils from S1-S6 and former pupils who are now working professionally in a range of art and design fields such as jewellery, textile design and animation.

“They were exhibiting their personal work. The audience was also treated to a fashion show where the pupils wore catwalk style hats, jewellery and costumes.

“We had a good turnout to the display.”
