A LOCAL health club has put pedal power to good use and raised more than £800 for disadvantaged children.

Lousie Fraser, owner of Jax Health Club in Methil, organised and led a sponsored two-hour spin bike class and roped in a team of bank managers to sweat it out in the saddle, most of whom were on the stationary exercise bikes for the first time.

However, it was all for a worthy cause and they raised a total of £405, which was then doubled through the Bank of Scotland Foundation to £810, for the Muirhead Outreach Project.

The team was made up of commercial managers Wendy Mackenzie, Donald McMaster, Graham Fleming, Ross Martin and Mark Lovell and senior manager Elaine Campbell, all of Lloyds Banking Group based at Bank of Scotland, Kirkcaldy.

Muirhead Outreach Project is a Fife charity which supports children, young people and families who are experiencing difficulties.
