Barnardo’s in Fife scoops funding

BARNARDO’S in Fife has been awarded over £100,000 from the Lloyds TSB Foundation.

The charity runs a Family Matters project for children and families affected by parental substance misuse and the money will help continue to support its running and salary costs.

The sum which amounts to £116,126 is conditional upon confirmation of matched funding.

Barnardo’s was the only charity working in Fife, out of 43 others, which received awards ranging from £2000 to £200,000.

Mary Craig OBE, chief executive of Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting such worthwhile work in local communities across Scotland.

“Even a small award can make a really big difference.”
