Buckhaven High School is to remain closed to the majority of pupils until further notice due to a power failure which occured this morning (Tuesday).

Pupils were sent home from the school earlier today after the fault was discovered, however those due to sit their physics exams were still able to complete the test in a separate part of the building not affected by the failure.

Managers at the school confirmed just before 3.00 p.m. today (Tuesday) that the school would be closed until further notice, however it would be open to new S3 and S4 pupils, with school buses running as normal.

Those pupils who are due to sit their SQA Computing exams tomorrow (Wednesday) have also been advised these will still go ahead as planned.
