A burlesque evening in Kirkcaldy has helped raise £280 for ScotsERVS, a voluntary organisation which transports supplies to Scotland’s only breast milk bank.

The ladies-only event, which featured burlesque star Daiquiri Dusk, was arranged by local woman and breast milk donor Tracy Wood and was held at the St Clair Tavern.

As well as transporting milk to Glasgow’s Southern General Maternity unit, ScotsERVS provides assistance to all 16 NHS neonatal units across the country and works closely with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Emergency Medical Retrieval Service.

Tracy said: “Without ScotsERVS, hospitals simply wouldn’t receive much needed breast milk supplies.

“The charity is run completely by volunteers and does an amazing job so I was more than happy to help raise money for such a good cause.”

William Paterson from ScotsERVS thanked Tracy for organising the event.
