The first ever Adam Smith Food Festival opened with a song and dance spectacular on Saturday.
The flashmob burst into life early in the morning to take visitors by surprise.
Organised by the arts hub based in The Postings, it was the perfect start to the event which was staged as part of the 2014 Adam Smith Festival which included visits from authors, lectures, and a discussion between Gordon Brown MP and leading historian, Tom Devine.
The food festival featured demonstrations from a number of local chefs as well as competitions - and it was voted a huge success.
