THIRTY-FOUR guests, representing 27 businesses, attended a Fife 150 Business Breakfast at Rothes Halls for a presentation by Daniel Rous, MD of Fife Social Enterprise of the Year, Furniture Plus.
Daniel spoke of the good work the organisation does in Fife, and explained that it offers a service for all, not just the disadvantaged in society. Delegates heard of the training opportunities available for people in the organisation. While Furniture Plus is a self-funding charity-based social enterprise, quality of process and finished product at all times is imperative to give customers a feeling of worth.
This helps to further Furniture Plus’ mission of ‘Helping Furnish the People of Fife’ through each of its three units in Fife.
Fife 150 is a business sponsorship plan which promises 150 per cent return on investment to its members. Businesses receive an allocation of meeting room hires equal to 100 per cent of their sponsorship, plus a further allocation of show tickets equal to 50 per cent of their sponsorship. These tickets may be redeemed for any show, at any of ON at Fife’s four venues. Additional benefits include profile in the foyer of each venue plus networking events such as Fife 150 Business Breakfasts.
So far, 26 businesses have joined Fife 150, from multinational conglomerate Diageo, through its national company Robert Wiseman Dairies.
