BUSINESS in Kirkcaldy is set to get a boost with the construction of three new units at Mitchelston Industrial Estate.
The 5000sqft of new business space will cost around £550,000 and complement the 10000sqft of space already established.
Since its completion in 2008, the original business incubator has become home to 23 businesses and is nearing 70 per cent occupancy at the site.
Councillor Tony Martin, chairman of the environment, enterprise and transportation committee, said: “I’m very excited about the expansion to this state of the art business incubator in Kirkcaldy.
“These centres play an important role in encouraging local entrepreneurs and supporting young businesses in the area.
He added: “We know there is great demand for these types of premises and we’ve already had enquiries from a number of companies looking to expand.”
