Fife Sports and Leisure Trust which runs sports and leisure facilities in Fife has been praised in a performance report.

The Trust, established in 2008 to manage and operate Fife Council’s 13 leisure centres in the region, has successfully gained recognition onto The Institute for Sports, Parks and Leisure’s (ISPAL) Active programme, an ISPAL Scotland initiative which is supported by The Scottish Government.

To be accepted onto the programme, the Trust underwent a robust review of its performance against the ISPAL Active criteria.

Ed Watson, chief executive for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “The Trust is proud of its record in delivering sports and recreational facilities to the communities of Fife – ensuring they are affordable and accessible to all – and, to have this work acknowledged is very rewarding.”
