FIFE enjoyed a very successful VisitScotland Expo 2012 with the Kingdom’s stand buzzing with visitors and activity over the two days.

The annual business to business travel trade event welcomed 760 visitors from the UK and overseas to the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston on April 25 and 26.

Under the themes of golf, outdoors, food, culture and heritage and key destinations, Fife presented a flavour of what the region has to offer.

Fife’s six Local Tourist Associations were represented and golf, of course featured strongly on the stand.

Keith Winter, head of Fife Council’s Enterprise, Planning & Protective Services, said: “This was Fife’s second year at VisitScotland expo and the experience gained from last year’s event showed.

“We had an active, vibrant, diverse stand reflective of the visitor experience Fife offers.

“Our stand partners were kept busy with appointments from overseas buyers and the message that Fife is a world class visitor destination was broadcast loud and clear.”
