A FIFE dog grooming business has scooped a national pet care award.

Scruf to Krufts – set up by Pamela Reidie, of Kinglassie, at the beginning of this year – was presented with a ‘Groomer of the Month’ award by Animology Pet Care.

The competition regularly attracts scores of entries from across the UK, and Pamela was delighted to win so soon after setting up her business.

She said: “I actually won the award for February, but it was only presented this week. There were 72 of the top dog grooming salons entered for the competition, so I was pleased to win.”

Pamela quit a full-time job to concentrate on her dog grooming business after gaining an advanced diploma with distinction in dog grooming. She is also a member of the British Dog Grooming Association and the Pet Care Trust.

She said: “I like to encourage owners to be responsible and look after their pets properly.”
