Levenmouth residents are being asked to submit items which they think ‘sum up’ the area, which will be presented at a showcase event in Bruges, France next month.
Through recent discussions with Leven Community Council, the potential of a formal town link between Leven and Bruges has started to gather some momentum.
And as part of this, Leven and the wider area has been asked to participate in a showcase event, along with a number of towns from other parts of Europe, which will celebrate the diverse cultures of these communities.
Levenmouth has been offered the chance to provide literature in the form of advertising material, and if possible, examples of local produce that show the skills and entrepreneurial nature of its local citizens.
The Bruges municipal authority, which has organised the event, is also interested in anything that tells the story of the area, so a wider audience can better understand the rich social history of the towns in Levenmouth.
Accordingly the message is going out to all those who may be local producers of unique and interesting items which could range from art and jewellery to food production and beyond to use this mechanism to explore a new market opportunity with no risk.
If you produce or have documented things that would give a real taste of Levenmouth to our European neighbours we would be keen to talk to you.
If you would be interested in taking advantage of this offer and would like further details please contact Jamie Abbott atFife Council on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 03451 55 55 55 ext 493928.
