Canongate Primary School RotaKids – part of the Rotary Club of St Andrews (Kilrymont) – have been collecting, making up and delivering harvest bags to the local community.

To decide who should receive a bag, the Rotakids asked the school for nominations of people who they felt would benefit from a gift, perhaps due to ill health or injury.

The children were fully involved in the planning of the project and helped to collect, sort and pack the donations.

They received very generous donations from Morrisons, Aldi and parents and carers, and delivered 18 bags in the local community.

The remaining food was delivered to the Storehouse (part of The Vineyard Centre) in St Andrews so that it could be used to help other local residents.
