Waterstones on Kirkcaldy High Street was full to the brim on Friday night with people keen to hear first hand about ghostly goings on from paranormal investigator Gregor Stewart.
The author, whose new book ‘Haunted Kirkcaldy’ is just out, was joined by fellow Fife writer Leonard Low for the talk which saw torture mechanisms, traditionally used on witches, used on an audience member.
Around 40 people then accompanied Gregor to the Old Kirk on Kirk Wynd, where, in eerie darkness, he told the tale of the church’s balcony collapsing in 1828, resulting in the deaths of 24 people.
He said: “I carried out a mini ‘ghost hunt’ with the aid of my son, Kyle (18).
“Nothing happened, which isn’t unusual in such a short space of time, but the session was more to show people some of the equipment and how it works.”
