Scenes from Fife - including this one of the City of St Andrews Pipe Band, snapped at Craigtoun Country Fair in June - are among the works of a photography collective coming to St Andrews next week.

Started in 2012, the Document Scotland group involves four Scottish documentary photographers who share the common vision of setting out to witness and photograph the important and diverse stories to be found in Scotland.

The four photographers - Stephen McLaren, Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert, Colin McPherson and Sophie Gerrard - each work on their own projects in between undertaking assignments for clients worldwide,

The group, which has renowned photographer Harry Benson as its honorary patron, brings its work to St Andrews on Thursday, November 13, for an ‘Autumn Salon’ in the St Andrews University Special Collections Reading Room.

It is set to be an informal, informative and lively evening of multimedia presentations, photography and conversation featuring work by the four Document Scotland members as well as special guest photographers.
