Contributions are s till coming in thick and fast, but the Boxing Day Dip at Leven has pulled in around £2500 so far in aid of a children’s cancer charity.

December 26 at Leven beach saw the customary cluster of fancy-dress revellers who, cheered on by a large crowd on the Promenade, took a brief plunge in the Forth’s icy depths to gather funds for CLIC Sargent.

A mixture of first-timers and seasoned ‘dippers’ took part, with particularly strong support from the business community and local organisations.

Fund-raising manager Deirdre Curley was grateful for the level of support from the community and through the charity’s Just Giving page as well.
