CCTV released in connection with Kirkcaldy car dealership vandalism

Police in Fife have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace as part of an investigation into the vandalism of a number of vehicles.

The incident happened between 5am and 6am on Saturday, October 10 at two car dealerships on Carberry Road in Kirkcaldy.

A number of vehicles were broken into and between 40 and 50 vehicles were damaged.

The man pictured is described as white, around 5ft 10inches tall, in his late teens to early twenties, with a slim build.

He was wearing a dark blue hooded top with white rings around the top of each arm, dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms with stripes – which may have been Adidas – and trainers.

PC Alan Muir of Kirkcaldy’s Community Investigation Unit said: “This incident has caused a considerable amount of damage to property belonging to members of the public that will cost thousands of pounds to repair.

“The man pictured is of interest to our investigation and anyone who recognises him is urged to get in touch.”
