A new concept in shopping hits Leven next week when the Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland shop re-launches itself as a discount store.
The permanently low and fixed prices in the shop at 5 Durie Street mean that shoppers looking for some retail therapy will get the benefit of buying good quality clothes at bargain basement prices.
And there is also therapy of another kind as the money raised will benefit local people affected by chest, heart and stroke illness.
Shop manager Ailsa Wilson said: “We’re really excited about the new concept and look forward to welcoming customers old and new when we re-launch on Tuesday.
“We will of course be maintaining our usual high standards and quality of stock but there will be set prices for all items. All clothes will be priced from 99p to a maximum of £4.99, kids’ clothes priced at three for 99p, books will be priced at two for 99p and collectables will be on offer from 49p.
“We expect a high turnover of stock so there will always be lots of new bargains to be found and of course we will be delighted to accept donations of items to sell in the shop so please keep them coming.”
Ms Wilson said CHSS was also urgently in need of volunteers to help run the shop.
“Perhaps you have spare time on your hands or would like to get some retail experience to improve your CV,” she added.
“Come along and join our friendly volunteer team. You’d have a great time and the satisfaction of making a real difference to the lives of people in your local community. Full training is provided as well as out of pocket expenses.”
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland improves the quality of life for people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness. All money raised in our shops helps fund our local services.
