PLAYERS of the People’s Postcode Lottery in Fife have been helping to raise vital funds for charity.
Children 1st is one of the beneficiaries of the lottery, and has sent its best wishes to everybody who takes part.
Chief executive of the charity Anne Houston, said: “We want to say a big thanks to all the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery who have raised over £2million for Children 1st since 2008.
“We work to ensure thousands of vulnerable children across Scotland enjoy a healthy, safe, secure childhood and a brighter future and we couldn’t do it without the players’ help. “
Of Children 1st’s 39 local services and four national services, one of the ones most topical in Fife, given the forthcoming Olympic Games, is Safeguarding in Sport.
The service supports sports organisations across Scotland to keep children safe and having fun in sport and has close links with the Fife Leisure Trust and other clubs based in the Kingdom.
