GOLFERS at an East Neuk club showed some charity on the course to raise money for a very worthy cause.

The donation was made by Charleton Members’ Golf Club in Colinsburgh to the Beatson Oncology Centre Fund in Glasgow.

Our photograph shows a £500 cheque being presented to Martin Russell, consultant oncologist at the Beatson, by Charles Forrest, captain of Charleton GC, with the committee members in the background.

The Charleton golfers are regular contributors to charity.

Last year’s fund-raising resulted in over £1900 being donated to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Scotland.

This year’s charity match should result in over £2200 being donated to this blood cancer charity.
