Entries to the Fife Free Press Group’s calendar competition closed on Sunday with over 350 pictures received.
And now it’s down to the readers to whittle down that tally to just 13 images which will ilustrate the 12 months of 2015 and the cover shot.
This is the first time the Group – comprising the Fife Free Press, East Fife Mail, Glenrothes Gazette, Fife Herald and St Andrews Citizen – has united all the titles’ readers on one project... and the response has been greater than expected.
All of the eligible entries are featured here in this slideshow and we are now asking people to take part in our text vote to help us cut that to 150 pictures, which will be included in a special supplement in all of the papers in a couple of weeks time.
From that, readers will be able to vote for the 13 photos they would like to see in the calendar for 2015.
Due to the large volume of entries, the Group’s editorial team will make a final decision where there is a tie.
The winning pictures will go on display at the newly-refurbished Dreel Halls in Anstruther from Friday, August 1 until Sunday, August 10 and then within the cafe at Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith Theatre for a week from August 11.
The aim is to bring out a top quality calendar and have it available to buy during the summer – allowing more visitors to take away a stunning souvenir of their stay in Fife.
