A huge collection of toys and games collected by the Fife Flyers (unofficial) Fan Club was delivered to the children’s ward of Victoria Hospital on Monday.

Dozens of parcels, collected by around 100 members over the past few months was presented to staff on the ward for distribution to patients in and around the festive period.

Abbie Bryson, Lesley Thomson, Emily Watt, Ryan Lula, Anne Stewart and Andrew Stewart played Santa Claus on behalf of the club, and told the Press: “The response from our members was tremendous. We are very happy to be able to bring a bit of joy to the children who may have to stay in hospital over Christmas.”

Staff at the hospital said they too had been overwhelmed with the generosity and were going to be giving out the donations over Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Anything else that is then left over will be kept on the ward for the children’s use in the ward’s play area.
