Open church: AS part of the Holy Week celebrations, Linktown Church will be open on Good Friday (tomorrow), from 10.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m. for peace, quiet, prayer and reflection, after which there will be a short act of worship around the wooden cross in the church grounds. A floral display (pictured) and quiet background music will welcome visitors, with a powerpoint presentation ‘Stations of the Cross’. In addition, the church will also be open on Saturday morning, from 10.30 a.m with live organ music and coffee being served in the hall. Visitors are warmly welcome to visit at any time during the open church.
St Peter’s services: MAUNDY Thursday at St Peter’s Episcopal Church will be celebrated at 7.30 p.m with Sung Eucharist, Stripping of the Altar, and Watch till midnight. The Good Friday Liturgy of the passion, proclamation of the cross and holy communion is at noon tomorrow (Friday). On Easter Day services will be held at 9.15 a.m and 10.30 a.m, the latter to include Sung Eucharist with Pascal Ceremonies and Renewal of Baptismal Vows. Following the service seasonal refreshments including hot cross buns will be served in the hall.
Holy Week: THE final two joint Holy Week services taking place at churches around Kirkcaldy take place today (Thursday) at Bennochy Church and at St Bryce Kirk tomorrow (Friday). Both services will begin at 7.00 p.m.
Spring rally: KIRKCALDY Presbyterial Council’s Spring Rally will be held in Dysart Kirk on Thursday, April 12 at 7.15 p.m. The guest speaker will be John Helliwell from Mary’s Meals.
