Fundraising afternoon: A CHARITY fundraising afternoon, in aid of Cancer Research UK, will take place in Bennochy Church’s Methven Hall on Saturday at 3.00 p.m. Tea tickets are priced £2.

Open Church: BURNTISLAND Parish Church once again opens its doors for a series of open days this summer. Built in 1592 the church is the oldest post reformation church in use in Scotland. The church will be open between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m, Monday to Saturday with members of the congregation on hand to guide and answer questions.

Coffee day: THE West End Congregational Church in Kirkcaldy High Street will host its monthly coffee day in the church hall on Saturday.

Tea, coffee, homebaking and light lunches will be served from 10.00 a.m until 2.00 p.m.

Wednesday lunches: EVERY Wednesday, Torbain Parish Church offers lunches from 12.45 p.m to 1.45 p.m. Come along and enjoy soup, sandwiches, sausage rolls and a chat. The church is also open for quiet prayer time.

Presbyterial Council: KIRKCALDY Presbyterial Council’s Communion Service will take place in Christ’s Kirk, Glenrothes tonight (Thursday) at 7.15 p.m.

Sunday barbecue: ST COLUMBA’S Church is holding a barbecue/garden party in the St Fillans Church Hall, Aberdour on Sunday from 3.00 to 5.00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to participate in the barbecue and treasure hunt challenge.

Coffee morning: THE JULIAN Memorial Committee will hold a coffee morning in Kinghorn Church Hall on Saturday from 10.00 to noon. There will be stalls, cake and tombola. Stall donations can be handed into the community centre or church hall on the morning of the event.
