United services: ON Sunday the congregations of Abbotshall, Bennochy, Linktown and St Bryce churches come together for worship. This will be the third of four united summer services and will be held in St Bryce Kirk at 11.00 a.m. The 2012 Olympics are approaching and so there will be an Olympic theme to each service and a torch relay around the churches. The theme for Sunday is ‘Winners and Losers’.

Strawberry Tea: COME and enjoy strawberries and cream, tea/coffee, fellowship at Viewforth Church on Saturday between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m. Tickets are £3. All will be made most welcome.

Olympic torch: THE Olympic Torch is coming to Torbain Parish Church on July 29 at

10.30 a.m. Come along to the service where you can hear the story behind the torch and get your photograph taken with it. There will also be a ‘mini Olympics’ for children.

Open Doors: BURNTISLAND Parish Church once again opens its doors for a series of open days this summer. Built in 1592 the church is the oldest post reformation church in use in Scotland. The church will be open between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m, Monday to Saturday, with members of the congregation on hand to guide and answer questions.

Shop items: THE Glory Hole church shop on Kinghorn High Street desperately needs bric-a-brac items. Anyone with any suitable items which could be donated is asked to hand them in to the shop.

Wednesday lunches: EVERY Wednesday lunches are served at Torbain Parish Church from 12.45 p.m to 1.45 p.m. The church is also open during this time for quiet prayer. Lunches cost £3.

Coffee morning: MARKINCH Parish Church hosts a coffee morning on Thursdays from 10.00 a.m to 11.30 a.m in the church hall.

Sunday Club: KINGHORN Parish Church’s Sunday Club - JAM - will recommence on Sunday, August 19.
