St Peter’s retiral: RECTOR Gareth Benson retires from ministry at St Peter’s Episcopal Church, Kirkcaldy in the next few weeks. His final Sunday service on September 2 will be followed by a buffet lunch. The previous Sunday, August 26, the Most Rev David Chillingworth, Bishop of the Diocese and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church will preach at a service when the new worship leaders and eucharistic ministers will be licensed.

Strawberry Fayre: SATURDAY is the last chance to sample the strawberries, pavlovas, sponges, ice cream sundaes and scones at Bennochy Parish Church’s Strawberry Fayre. The event runs from 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m in the church gardens. There will also be a home baking stall.

Sunday Club: KINGHORN Church’s Sunday Club, JAM, recommences this Sunday at the earlier time of 10.30 a.m in the church hall. JAM will be going to Lochore Meadows for a barbecue on Sunday afternoon.

Connect Church: THE Connect Church will meet in their own premises in St Clair Street this weekend after more than 10 years of holding their Sunday morning family workship services in Pathhead Primary School. To mark the move celebration services will be held this Saturday and Sunday, when visiting speakers from Inverness will be present.Saturday’s service will start at 6.00 p.m, while Sunday morning’s service will begin at 11.00 a.m. The Connect Church hall has been undergoing some refurbishment in readiness for the transition, and the congregation are excited about this next step on their journey.

Coffee morning: THE monthly coffee morning at Christ’s Kirk hall in Pitcoudie Avenue, Glenrothes will be held this Saturday. The event runs from 10.00 a.m to noon. It’s an excellent place to meet friends and catch up with what’s happening, and to enjoy freshly-made scones and pancakes.
