There have been many fantastic efforts made to raise funds for children’s cancer charity TCCL and its plans for a holiday lodge in St Andrews for families, but few can be as hair-raising as that which will be attempted by apprentice hairdresser Claire Adamson this Sunday.
Claire, from Freuchie, received a skydive as a birthday present from her mum and instead of just taking the plunge for pleasure, the 19-year-old has decided to try to raise at least £300 for TCCL at the same time.
She said: “TCCL is very close to my heart and my employer, Spoiled hairdressing, is supporting it, so I just thought it would be good to try to raise money for them.”
She added: “A skydive has always been on my bucket list of things to do - another was to climb Ben Nevis and I did that with the Spoiled team - so I’m really looking forward to the jump at Errol Airfield on Sunday. “
