LEVEN High Street’s branch of Clinton Cards is to close on Thursday.
Appointed administrator Zolfo Cooper made the announcement on Friday, listing the town’s branch alongside 121 other stores also closing.
Those included branches in Kirkcaldy’s Mercat Centre and Falkland Square in Glenrothes.
The greetings cards specialist fell into administration in May, after £35 million worth of debt was called in.
This week’s closures follow news, from earlier this month, that 397 branches of Clinton Cards and its subsidiaries, including Birthdays Retail Limited, were sold to Lakeshore Lending Limited, a subsidiary of American Greetings Corporation. Leven’s High Street branch was not one of those purchased.
A spokesperson for Zolfo Cooper said: “Three hundred and 30 stores were not included in the sale to Lakeshore and remained under the control of the Joint Administrators.
“Forty three of these stores were closed on June 8 and the Joint Administrators today announce that a further 122 stores will cease trading by June 21.”
Zolfo Cooper added it was still looking for a buyer for the remaining stores, which will continue to operate as normal.
