A FALKLAND-born man has published his first thriller, the fast-moving ‘Trail of Greed,’ which deals with the dangerous game of fighting fraud and corruption.

It has been penned by former independent consultant John Dysart (66), who now lives in France.

In ‘Trail of Greed,’ retired widower, Bob Bruce, is settling into an easy life of golf and gardening when a knock on his door brings an elderly stranger with some startling news.

Together they unearth a blatant case of fraud being conducted by a financial investment firm in Edinburgh.

Their decision to investigate puts Bob’s life in danger and leads them to take the law into their own hands.

Their unmasking of the fraud, however, doesn’t stop a subsequent attempt on Bob’s life.

The trail seems to lead to a crooked Scottish MP- but things are never quite what they seem.

It will take murder and torture to finally reveal the villain!

Raised in Falkland and educated at Strathallan School in Perthshire, John graduated from St Andrews University with a MA in economics and politics.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant in Glasgow, he pursued a career in Europe.

John has completed his second novel, ‘Pursuit,’ which will be published in the autumn.

‘Trail of Greed, produced by Choir Press,’ is available as a paperback and Kindle download.
