EIGHTEEN months of fundraising and endeavour came together at Crail Harbour with the launch of the St. Ayles skiff which has been built by members of Crail Rowing Club.

It was a great day for all concerned - the sun shone, Victor Reynolds ‘named ‘ the Crail Partan with a dram from a quaich and the first crew of Ben, Glenn, Bernie and David, coxed by Sarah, rowed out of Crail to the sounds of the pipes being played by young Tristan and George from Shoregate.

There was a super crowd estimated at 300 and David Jerdan made a brief speech thanking the sponsors and builders, before the naming ceremony.
