Creative children team up with artists

Children at Ladybank Primary School have joined forces with a group of local artists for the benefit of the village.

Tomorrow (Saturday), the children and artists from Off the Rails will stage an exhibition at the arthouse next to the railway station.After paying an admission charge, all visitors will receive a work of art which could be from a primary school child or an artist.

Proceeds from the exhibition, which runs from 10am to 5pm, will be donated to Heartstart.

Teacher Laura Munro said: “The children have really enjoyed being creativeand having the freedom to organise this and design their own work.”
