Firefighters were called to tackle a ‘well-developed’ house fire at a farm near to Auchtertool in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Scottish Fire and Rescue were alerted to the blaze around 6am, and sent five appliances - two from Kirkcaldy, two from Lochgelly and one from Dunfermline - to the scene.

A spokesman said: “Upon arrival crews were faced with a well-developed fire within a room and the roof space of a single storey bungalow.”

There was no-one in the property when crews arrived, and no casualties. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 11am.
