Fife High Street reopened after suspicious package found

A Fife High Street was closed this morning after a suspicious package was found.

The package was discovered at around 9am in Newburgh.

In a statement, Police Scotland said: “Officers attended and the package was deemed to contain a non-suspicious item.

“Cordons have been lifted and Newburgh High Street is now reopened.

“The public is thanked for their patience as officers dealt with this incident.”
