THE horticultural judging season is well under way — and residents of Cupar are being urged to help make sure the town is looking its best.
Judges from the Beautiful Scotland competition will be visiting Cupar on Monday to run the rule over the town’s efforts to regain the Best Medium Town award it won in 2009.
Cupar in Bloom chairman Mary Law said: “We’re hoping everyone will get behind us and ensure the town is looking clean and tidy.”
The judges are due to arrive at 9.30am on Monday and will spend between two and three hours touring the town.
Cupar has enjoyed Beautiful Scotland success in the past, thanks largely to the hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers.
Last year Cupar in Bloom was one of just seven groups to be awarded a gold medal in the contest.
However, Cupar was pipped to the title of Best Medium Town by Linlithgow.
