Dairsie Tots, a parent-led playgroup which meets every Wednesday morning in Dairsie Memorial Hall, hosted a highly successful festive fayre on Monday night.
The evening featured up to 20 different stalls, raising more than £500, which will now be put towards Toy Drive.
“Dairsie Tots are thrilled to donate to such a worthwhile and local cause this year,” said chairman Katy Keddie.
“We are very happy that the money will help towards buying some new toys and food parcels for local families at Christmas.”
Katy, along with Victoria Leonard, Toy Drive co-ordinator, thanked everyone who helped make the night a success, especially the local shops and businesses who supported the event and offered a raffle prize.
They said they were “genuinely overwhelmed” by the generosity of people when approached for donations and owed much of the success to the outstanding gifts on offer.
The Toy Drive itself is well under way with North East Fife Rotary Club making a generous donation of £500 to the cause.
The Toy Drive runs until December 15 and seeks new and unwrapped gifts suitable for a boy or girl up to 16 years.
