A number of local groups have received a welcome boost thanks to the generosity of Leven-based drinks manufacturer Diageo.

Ten groups - Mountfleurie Nursery, Age Concern – Glenrothes, Glenrothes Food Bank, Marie Curie Cancer Care, SAMH, Hazel Avery XP Fund, Cross House Hospital Special Baby Unit, St. Margaret’s Hospice, Make A Wish Foundation and Arden House Leven - were presented with £1000 each thanks to the company’s special safety fund.

For every month that there are no accidents on site, the company puts money into the ‘Lost Time Accident Fund’, and employees are given the chance to nominate the charities they would like to receive the cash.
