A KIRKCALDY couple who met at the former Burma dance hall have been celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Peter and Grace Fenton toasted their Diamond wedding anniversary by having a family party at the Victoria Hotel in the town on Saturday.
Peter (83) and Grace (79) courted for three years before they tied the knot at St Peter’s Church on February 23, 1952. Grace worked as a shop assistant before the couple were married and Peter made canvas at the former Nairn linoleum factory.
The couple, who are both from Kirkcaldy, have two sons Stewart and Graham, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They are pictured with local councillor David Ross who presented them with a gift voucher on behalf of Fife Council.
