A major conference on Scottish towns is to be held in Dunfermline.
The Scotland’s Towns Conference 2011: Think Local - Act Local is the only conference in the UK to focus on the national and local issues faced by Scotland’s towns. Over 100 delegates are expected to attend from business, town and city practitioners, to local and national government representatives.
The conference will addess local issues and local solutions to problems faced by towns, ranging from the impact of the big economic challenges, to communities doing it for themselves.
Headline speakers include the Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, Fergus Ewing MSP and Executive Editor of The Scotsman newspaper, Bill Jamieson.
Speakers will also include Keith Winter, head of development services at Fie Council, and Councillor Tony Martin, chair of the council’s enterprise committee.
