The

Muppet

Movie (1979)

THIS family movie is jam-packed with singing and laughter and is a must see of the 20th century, especially if you have only known the Muppets through the movie that came out a couple of years ago.

The fame of the Muppets begins when Kermit the Frog is contentedly playing his banjo and singing along to ‘Rainbow Connection’, when Dom DeLuise, a music agent from Hollywood, spots the talented amphibian.

Kermit is persuaded to pursue his career as a Hollywood star and travels by bicycle to get there.

Along the way he picks up Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, The Great Gonzo, and a crew of other Muppets with similar aspirations.

The trip is not without its dangers, however, and Kermit and friends have to stay out of the way of evil Doc Hopper, who is trying to force Kermit into advertising his speciality of fried-frogs legs! Yes, this movie is a bit childish, but who says we can’t sing and laugh along with Kermit on his journey to stardom!
