Local officers in Leven have reported a number of youths to the Children’s Reporter and Procurator Fiscal for a variety of anti-social behaviour offences in the Shorehead area.

Anti-social behaviour has been identified as one of the main policing priorities for the Levenmouth area and the Shorehead Action Plan was devised to address this issue.

Dedicated patrols have since been put in place to deter crimes of this nature and identify those responsible.

As a result of this activity, eight young people aged between 11 and 17 were subsequently reported.

Inspector Tom Brown said: “We continue to engage with communities affected by anti-social behaviour to deploy appropriate resources in these areas and tackle this issue head-on.

“I want to make it clear that anti-social behaviour and associated offences will not be tolerated and anyone wishing to report such crimes can do so by calling us on 101.”
