Fife Council’s transportation and environmental services will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing and associated works on the A915 from Scoonie Roundabout to the traffic signals at Glenlyon Road commencing Saturday, July 26 for a period of four weeks.
For the works to be undertaken safely, a road closure will be required for the first week and the entire road will be closed from the Scoonie Roundabout to Glenlyon Road.
Access for the emergency services, residents and affected businesses will be maintained at the discretion of the contractor during this period to ensure the safety of the road user and the site personnel.
The remaining works will be carried out using temporary traffic signals.
A Fife Council spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and delay caused by these essential works and we will try to keep disturbance to a minimum.
“Your patience and co-operation during this time is greatly appreciated.”
If anyone wishes to find out more about the works, they should contact the contractor for the project, which is Fife Council transportation and environmental services, construction operations, on 03451 555555 ext 444634 and ask for William O’Connor.
