Tonight I’m going to be... the winner! Lucky Eva Walker took the top spot at a Stars In Their Eyes event in Elie last weekend.

A sell-out crowd packed Earlsferry Town Hall on Saturday evening for the annual extravaganza based on the hugely popular TV series.

The evening was compered by Craig Stevenson, who provided the laughs, while previous winners and new talent took to the stage to display extraordinary musical and theatrical skills, and taking on the guise of stars such as Shirley Bassey, Stevie Wonder, Cee Lo Green and Alice Cooper.

The night concluded with the much-anticipated audience vote, and, as the excitement mounted, the three category winners were revealed.

Angela Marr put her pre-event nerves to one side as she received the best entertainment award for her revealing portrayal of big spending Shirley Bassey.

While Steven Mackay’s scary representatation of Alice Cooper was a deserved winner of the best-dressed act.

However, the overall prize for Best Act was won by newcomer Eva Walker for an astounding vocal portayal of Katherine Jenkins.

Not just a night of fantastic entertainment, the whole event was organised in order to raise lots of money for charity too.

The money raised from the evening – an amazing £1076 - was presented to Ronnie Sinclair, from the East Neuk Emergency Trust, which was set up to help people who live in the area who may be experiencing financial difficulties and cannot get help from any other agency.
