With more than 175 school performances across the UK under their belts the latest pop sensation EverYoung saved the best for last as they visited Kirkland High School.
Teens Eyal and Jack - both 18 - and Cherelle and Hollie - both 19 - entertained the whole school, blasting out top tunes over two half-hour sets - which were needed in order to squeeze everyone into Kirkland’s assembly hall.
But judging by the pupils’ reactions it was worth the extra effort as EverYoung, who all met at Sylvia Young Theatre School, certainly won many extra Fife fans, with the band happy to pose for photographs, sign autographs and give out hugs afterwards.
Particularly crowd-pleasing was the music though, with the band’s cover of Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ (watch above), and Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ both well enjoyed, not to mention their latest single ‘You Got Me’, an upbeat, feel good pop song, co-written by the band, which is out October 6 on iTunes.
See next week’s East Fife Mail for an exclusive interview with EverYoung and Kirkland’s principal teacher Alison Fleming.
