Explosion at Glenrothes company leaves two men with facial injuries

An explosion at a Glenrothes company has left two men injured, reports MIKE DELANEY.

The men, who are aged 45 and 22, were working at Raytheon Systems when the blast happened on the morning of Monday, 5 December.

Ambulances raced to the scene and the pair were taken to hospital with a police escort.

It is believed that the men are sub-contractors employed by town firm C&F Electrical and were working on equipment when it exploded.
