THE Face of Fife proved she can strike a pose this week, when she took part in a professional photoshoot as part of her prize from the Fife Free Press competition.
Rio Brennan (20) spent the day at Catch Photography studios on Monday, where she was styled from top-to-toe by professionals at Migele Experience and premier makeup artist Karen Bowen.
Rio won the Face of Fife competition, held in Kitty’s in June, after impressing judges and fighting off stiff competition from 11 other girls in the final.
Rio, who spent the day posing for the camera in several different outfits supplied by Debenhams, told the Press: “The whole competition experience has been really exciting, and a really good opportunity for me. The catwalk in the final was fun to do and I really enjoyed myself - I’m so glad I did it.
“The photoshoot has been really good - my hair and makeup have been amazing, and I’m really enjoying it. Trying on all the clothes and the different outfits with different hair and makeup has been really great.
“I’m hoping to send some of the photos away to a couple of different model agencies, and then my mum, dad and my gran want some for putting up in the house!”
As the winner of the Face of Fife, Rio received £500, as well as a professional photobook from Catch Photography, with hair by Amber and Jodi at Migele Experience, and makeup by Karen Bowen.
Ivan Graham, owner of Catch Photography, who was a judge at the final, said: “The competition was good and the quality of the applicants was excellent, although Rio stood out by a country mile.
‘’She’s tall, has a nice connection with the camera, the type of hair I knew a lot could be done with, and she photographed well, and that’s been evident today.”
