MORE than 100 people attended the official launch of Falkland’s ‘Big Book’ on Sunday.
The Big Book is an account of the historic Royal Burgh of Falkland, its past and present, and its characters from bygone days to the present.
The creative co-ordinators behind the Big Book were Jan Hendry and Alan Ford, who both attended Sunday’s launch.
Jan spoke about the swell of enthusiasm at the time the initiative first got off the ground.
She also welcomed the new impetus given to the Big Book with its appearance online at www.smartcommunityfife.org.uk/big-book-introduction
Marilyn Workman, project co-ordinator for Smart Community Fife, thanked the team responsible for putting the book online, Jenni Gudgeon and Andy Heer.
She also expressed her thanks to Fife Culture Fund and Falkland War Memorial Trust, as well as the huge voluntary contribution that had made the digital form of the book possible.
