Fife Council has been shortlisted in six categories at this year’s Scottish Transport Awards.
Fife’s transportation and environmental services team is in the running for Transport Local Authority of the Year,
It’s also been shoprtlisted for Integrated Transport Project of the Year, for Connecting Kirkcaldy Esplanade; Best Practice in Travel to School and Work Schemes, for Gearing up for Cycling in Fife’s schools; Achievements in Cycling, also for Gearing up for Cycling in Fife’s schools; Contribution to Sustainable Transport, for Sustainable Transport in Fife; and Transport Team/Partnership of the Year, for Make Your Move Kirkcaldy.
Councillor Pat Callaghan, Fife Council’s executive spokesman for environment and transportation, said: “I’m delighted Fife Council will have great representation at the prestigious Scottish Transport Awards.
“Being shortlisted for six categories demonstrates the quality services we’re providing in Fife.
”I wish the teams involved all the best and I’m sure they’ll get the recognition deserved.”
This year’s winners will be announced on June 18.
